Dental
Check-ups and good dental care are important to your overall health. The state will cover dental services if you visit an Indiana Medicaid Dental Provider.

MHS recommends that you get all your dental services from the same dentist so that he or she can help you plan your care.

Some dental services must be approved in advance, including:

• Dentures
• Orthodontia (braces)
• Dental surgery

Surgery must be approved in advance by both the State and by MHS. Your Dental Provider should get this approval for you.

Vision
Eye exams not only correct your eyesight with glasses or contacts, but also maintain your overall eye health. Hoosier Healthwise covered vision services include:

• Vision tests
• Eyeglasses
• Routine eye care

MHS has a large network of vision providers to choose from. If you select a doctor in the MHS network, you can get a credit to upgrade your glasses to include:

• Designer deluxe frames
• Enhanced lenses
• Tinting
• Contact lenses
