Notification of Pregnancy / Presumptive Eligibility Workshops

May. 5, 2009 | Author: MHS

The State’s Hoosier Healthwise Medicaid program will roll-out two new initiatives Notification of Pregnancy (NOP) and Presumptive Eligibility (PE) on July 1. With PE, low-income pregnant women can be determined presumptively eligible for Hoosier Healthwise through a simplified application process. NOP was developed to identify pregnant women earlier in pregnancy to increase positive birth outcomes for the State of Indiana.

The IHCP is offering free provider workshops on PE/NOP. Sessions are offered at several locations in Indiana. Visit Indiana Medicaid’s PE/NOP Education Opportunities Page for a list of session times, dates, registration deadlines, locations, and directions on how to register for a workshop. Seating is limited in all locations.

Indiana Medicaid has also created a Provider Bulletin for Presumptive Eligibility, which can be found on www.indianamedicaid.com or on our Provider guides page.
